Nina Guise-Gerrity is GFTD's CEO & Founder. She is also a Philosophy Professor at Loyola University Maryland and a member of the Maryland Tech Council.
The GFTD team prides itself on being an all-female team since conception. Each GFTD Intern is driven to help build and foster relationships through the act of “gft-ing.”
Nina Guise-Gerrity, founder and inventor of GFTD, thought of the idea for the GFTD app while on a plane back home to Maryland. Wondering how she could gift her Californian niece her favorite snack (blueberries) from the opposite coast, she had an idea.
A professor of Philosophy at Loyola University Maryland, she quickly gathered interns from the university and began working on an app with the aim to make giving more convenient for everyone.
The GFTD app will allow people from near and far to send a token of gratitude, sympathy, support, or congratulations, instantly. GFTD is customized to everyone’s individual wishes so you don’t have to guess- instant GFTification!
The GFTD team values diversity and aims to be as inclusive as possible. The GFTD app is designed to be customizable, with features to satisfy the need of each individual user. We are committed to continued innovation, so we can continually enhance our users’ experience.
The safety of our users' private and financial information is always of the utmost importance. We take every precaution to ensure the safety of user’s private information.
Team GFTD prides itself on the fact that the company is a start-up in the fin-tech and service space, with an app that challenges traditional gift giving.
Our vision is to establish GFTD as the premiere gift-giving platform that revolutionizes how we give and receive, by streamlining the gifting process through the combination of select digital features into one, easy-to-use platform.
